Revival is not a series of scheduled meetings. Revival is not drummed up emotions.\u00a0 Manifestations are not revival, nor concrete proof of revival.<\/p>\n
When we need revival, we must understand that\u00a0God\u2019s intent is to turn things right side up<\/i>. Although in the world\u2019s thinking, those whom God uses in revival will be accused of turning the world upside down (see Acts 17:6).<\/p>\n

What is revival?<\/b><\/p>\n
It is when\u00a0God rips away all pretense<\/i>. He confronts people with the reality of the condition of their souls as He did the Pharisees. In revival, God is not hesitant to call people what they are\u2026\u201cBrood of vipers!\u201d (Matthew 3:7). Neither is He reluctant to\u00a0challenge people with their eternal destiny<\/i>. \u201cWho has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?\u00a0 (Matthew 3:7).<\/p>\n
In revival, the Holy Spirit does not shy away from the word \u2018Repent!\u2019 Nor is He hesitant to point out the necessity that\u00a0true repentance bears a certain kind of fruit<\/i>. As John the Baptist said to the Pharisees, \u201cTherefore bear fruits worthy of repentance\u201d. (Matthew 3:8).<\/p>\n
In revival God does not hesitate to\u00a0yank away all false securities<\/i>\u00a0upon which men are relying. He did so to the Pharisees through John the Baptist: \u201cDo not think to say to yourselves, \u201cWe have Abraham as our father.\u201d For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.\u201d<\/p>\n
Revival is\u00a0holy chaos<\/i>. To use the picture of the threshing floor; it is when God comes with \u201cHis winnowing fan in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.<\/i><\/b>\u201d (Matthew\u00a03:12<\/span><\/span>).<\/p>\n In revival\u00a0God does a sifting<\/i>. He\u00a0confronts<\/i>\u00a0men with their sin and rebellion against Him. He\u00a0confronts<\/i>\u00a0men with the reality that their life is like a shadow that is fleeing away in the sun\u2019s rays. He\u00a0confronts<\/i>\u00a0the religious crowd with their smugness. In revival,\u00a0God turns over the tables<\/i>\u00a0of the money changers.
